HILVERSUM (NL) – Starting June 2022 an iconic 22 meter high green energy tower and connected stage will be seen at music festivals throughout Europe: GEM-Stage. The eye-catching tower and stage are powered by wind- and solar energy and hydrogen. One hundred percent CO2 neutral. No fossil fuelled generators needed! GEM-Stage is a symbol of the transition to clean energy sources and will be visited by hundreds of thousands of festival visitors.

GEM-Stage only just finished a ‘dry-run, giving some sixty talented artists a spot at the inhouse television festival Cultuurbooster (BNNVARA), which aired on public television in The Netherlands.

GEM-Stage is now ready to go on tour in Europe, showing the live-entertainment industry the options to use green energy for their festivals. For years, festivals and events relied on fossil fuelled generators.

The story of GEM-Stage is about new energy sources, wind, solar and hydrogen. And smart batteries of course. While adding festival-upgrading elements (such as Rolling Kitchen, Hydrogen-pump, Charging-Table for phones, etc) GEM will be a popular hangout where local and international innovators and energy heroes show and share their enthusiasm about new sustainable solutions.

GEM-Stage will be at at least six festivals in 2022:

03-05 June: Vestrock, Hulst (NL)
09-11 June: Pulse Open Air, Munchen (DE)
15-18 June: Rock for People, Praag (CZR)
07-09 July: Pohoda, Trencin Airport (SK)
13-17 July: Heumensoord, Nijmegen (NL)
03-05 Sept: Superbloom, Munchen (DE)

GEM-Stage originally started as GEM-Tower and was part of an initiative of ten European institutions, aiming to raise awareness on sustainable innovations
