Press Release by Rock For People, January 28, 2021

Rock for People in the Game starts already this week

There are only a few days left until the launch of the unique Rock for People in the Game game festival. Choose an avatar, warm up your fingers and go to the virtual complex full of concerts, activities, art, but also secret concerts on January 31st.

Exclusive recordings of performances by British rockers Nothing But Thieves, Texas duo Missio, stars of metalcore Crown the Empire and The Devil Wears Prada, singer and rapper KennyHoopla, a unique joint set of bands Strange Bones and Calva Louise, post-punkers Life, rapper Redzed, indie-rockers I Love You Honey Bunny or a great discovery of the Czech scene, singer Amelie Siba await the festival participants on three stages.

“Just like at a normal festival, you may want to be everywhere at the same time. Music, entertainment, food stands… I will reveal that we are preparing a special edition of the merchandise, a secret stage with exceptional performances and busking of Czech stars. So, we recommend a thorough tour of our gaming area and ticket purchase before selling out as the capacity is limited to 3,000 players,” says Rock for People festival director Michal Thomes.

Visitors can head to partner zones – Komerční banka brings a unique view of the entire complex, you can dance or compete in the sand on a beach by Objevte Více Muziky, or fly with Red Bull. In addition to many art installations, competitions, you can enjoy an exhibition by Martyho Frky, and the well-known graphic artist TMBK. The area will be complemented by a maze or a unique wind and solar energy mill GEM-Tower.

As avatars, participants can meet in chat zones, dance, wave, clap or jump, or take pictures with friends in the photo corner. There will be a warm-up party for ticket holders – they will be able to try out the game environment already on Friday, or an afterparty with YouTube Music.

Rock for People in the Game is created in collaboration with Ameba Production and leading programmers of the domestic IT scene. The team works simultaneously on several gaming and communication platforms. Technical background and data networks are provided by Mall.tv.
